Obituary of Théo Ann Flora

Théo Ann Backhaus Flora, 76, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Born in Englewood to the late Fredrick and Florence Backhaus, she was raised in Cliffside Park and has lived in Point Pleasant for most of her life.

Théo worked as a Point Pleasant School bus driver for twenty-five years.  She loved spending time with her family and butterflies.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis John Flora; and her son, John Louis Flora.

Théo is survived by her daughters, Noreen Van Salisbury of Brick and Loreen Pizzella of Las Vegas, NV; and by her son, Richard Flora of Toms River.  She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Visitation will be from 2 – 5 p.m., Sunday, July 11 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.  At 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 12 interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
