Obituary of Barbara J. Griggs

Barbara J. Drozd Griggs, 78, of Lakewood, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021.

Born in Bayonne to the late Roman and Anna Drozd, she was raised there and lived in Point Pleasant for nearly fifty years until moving to Lakewood.

Barbara was a graduate of Monmouth University and had been a member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of over forty-one years, Edward W. Griggs.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Sarah Griggs Sarbello of Ocean Gate; son, Edward A. Griggs and his wife, Hsiao-Yu of Mount Olive; and three grandchildren, Morgan, Emily, and Wesley.

At 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 4 a committal service, followed by entombment, will take place at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River.
