Obituary of Randy J. Burd

Randy J. Burd, 46, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Born in Point Pleasant, Randy grew up in Point Pleasant Beach, and graduated from Point Pleasant Beach High School.

Making pizza at the family owned, The Pizza Stand, was something he truly enjoyed and took great pride in doing. He was currently employed by Right Coast Contracting, LLC.

Randy was so full of life and walked around with a perpetual smile on his face. His kind and gentle manner shone through in any conversation. Never one to sit still, Randy was always active; whether it be riding his bike, skateboarding, building something, surfing or going to concerts. Being an animal lover, Randy had many pets over the years. Spending time at the inlet or on the beach provided Randy with peace and serenity. They were his happy places.

Randy was predeceased by his beloved mother, Celeste J. Burd (Zitarosa); maternal grandparents, Concetta and Nicholas Zitarosa; paternal grandparents, John C. and Dorothy M. Burd; and uncle, Robert A. Burd.

He is survived by his loving father, John “Butch” Burd; sister, Jennifer Burd; brother, Casey Burd and his wife, Stephanie; and nephews and nieces, Austin, Madison, and Alexander Drucquer and Sadie Rose Burd.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m., Sunday, May 22 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 3 p.m., a service will be held.
