Carol, or Mrs. Clayton, as I always called her was an incredible person. I'll never forget that even as a kid, I could see that she went out of her way to pay you a sincere compliment and make you feel good about yourself. The world is losing a generous and kind heart with her passing.
A donation has been made in her name to Point Paws, animal rescue.
My heart goes out to her daughter, Diane. Losing our mothers is a grief so profound, it can take your breath away. I hope you are surrounded and comforted by love.

Such a kind and beautiful soul has left our midst.
I cherish the visits I was able to have with her, the smiles, laughter, hugs and happiness.
Holding Diane and all the family in loving positive thought during the difficult transition and waiting until you meet with her again.

My deepest sympathy to Diane and all of Carole's family. Carole loved all of you so much.. I had the privilege of working with Carole in the Point Pleasant Boro school district where she supported staff and did so always with her beautiful smile. She cared about each person she dealt with and always went above and beyond to provide assistance. The staff depended on her for so much. Thank you Carole for your years of friendship and may you rest in peace, beautiful lady.

Diane, your Mom was a great lady. I will always remember her loving and kind ways. We could always share a joke or a funny story together and that meant so much. Her last conversation with me will forever be precious.
May you find comfort in the lifetime of memories you shared and know that she will always live in our hearts.
I love you.

The obituary perfectly said what a wonderful life your Mom lived and how much she was loved. On a stressful day teaching, I would walk into the copy center and would feel like I had entered a lovely garden, as there were colorful flower pictures posted. Your Mom would smile and instantly the stress would dissolve. I am so sorry for your family's loss.

From Jen M:
A smile that always made the world alot brighter.. a smile that made the world a better place to live in ... A heart pure as gold... There is no words to amount the kindness you showed with the world... At my lowest time in life you were there for me.. you never turned your back on me and guided me when I was 14 and at rock bottom.. you are the reason I finished high school.. you are a true hero in my eyes.. no matter what Everytime I saw u at church or school you had the brightest smile that made the room glow..u welcomed me into your home .. I never forget the swing and the green house.. .. I'm jealous of the Angels around the thrown tonight.thank you for being a angel here on earth you will never be forgotten...
