


Obituary of Joseph D. Sperduti, Sr.
Joseph D. Sperduti, Sr., 82, of Brick, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Joseph and Irene Sperduti, he grew up there and lived in Point Pleasant and later Brick for most of his life.
Joe was owner and operator of Sleepy Hollow Exxon, Point Pleasant, for over fifty-two years.
He was a United States Navy veteran and was a founding member of the Bridge Avenue Business Association, which later became the Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce. Joe was also a former member of the Point Pleasant Borough Rotary, was a Paul Harris Fellow, and with his wife, Barbara, was very active with the Rotary International Exchange Student program.
He was predeceased by his wife of over sixty years, Barbara Clevenger Sperduti; brother, Anthony; and sister, Irene.
Joe is survived by his son, Joseph, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Brick. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Sperduti and his wife, Lacey, Joseph Sperduti, III and his wife, Deidre, and Rebecca Sperduti; two great-grandchildren, Keeleigh and Brady; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 26 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.
