


Obituary of Suzanne Thomson-Monahan
Suzanne (nee Locher) Thomson Monahan passed from this earth on August 9, 2022. She died peacefully at her home in Tinton Falls, NJ.
Born in Elizabeth, Suzanne grew up in Roselle Park. As a proud member of the “Dirty Eight” and Captain of the cheerleading squad she graduated Roselle Park High School and attended Trenton State College.
She is survived by her loving husband of eighteen years, Phil Monahan, and was the proud mother to Bob, Jr. (Tina), Karen (Jeff), David (Kathleen), Peter (Maggie), Christine (Michael) Michael, John (Marcela), Dan (Terri), and Mary Kate (Patrick). Suzanne was known as Nanz or Nannie, to thirty beautiful grandchildren and as Gigi to her three great grandchildren. Suzanne loved her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and countless friends. She is reunited with husband Bob Sr., Peter, Michael and her brother Bill.
Suzanne enjoyed a full happy life wherever she called home Including Perth Amboy, Canada, New Providence, South Carolina and her beloved Long Beach Island.
Most will remember Suzanne for her beautiful smile, her generous heart, gift of gab, calling everyone a friend, sitting on the beach, and most of all, loving her family.
At 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 16 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 4700 Long Beach Boulevard, Brant Beach.
