Obituary of Michele A. Sullivan
Michele A. Ready Sullivan, 67, of Jackson, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022.
Born in Point Pleasant to the late Michael and M. Grace Ready, she grew up there, attending Saint Peter Grammar School and Point Pleasant Borough High School. Upon her marriage, she moved to Jackson, NJ where she and her husband Kevin owned and operated Picea Acres, a Christmas tree farm.
Michele worked for many years as a floral designer. She later accepted a job as Senior Librarian Assistant at the Little Red Library in Point Pleasant Beach, a job she truly enjoyed.
Michele cherished her time with her two grandchildren; being their Nanny brought her tremendous joy.
Michele loved nature. She spent many hours on her deck looking out over the pines and watching her birds. She loved horses and had a pet pony ‘Cricket’ when she was a little girl. Spending time at both the Saratoga and Monmouth Racetracks was one of her favorite summer activities. Michele also loved to travel, both in the U.S. and overseas.
Michele is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Kevin; her daughter, Reneé Johnstone and her husband, Thomas; and two grandchildren, Ashton Grace and Hudson Thomas of Highlands, NJ. She is also survived by two sisters, Kathy Spalluto and Reneé Ready; and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Michael Ready.
