


Obituary of Joseph A. DiVito
Joseph A. DiVito, 97, of Tinton Falls, formerly of Point Pleasant, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023.
The last surviving child born to the late Giuseppe and Marie DiVito in Newark, he grew up in Irvington and for over forty-five years lived in Point Pleasant before moving to Tinton Falls two years ago.
Joe was a United Sates Navy, World War II veteran and worked as an upholsterer and retired from M. Silberstein, Shrewsbury.
A true blessing to all that knew him, Joe was an easygoing, happy-go-lucky man, with a great smile and was the absolute best grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Florence; and by his daughter, Kim.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Suzette Duggan and her husband, Patrick of Allenwood; and son, Anthony DiVito and his wife, Deanna of Westfield. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Ryan, Kristy, Brian, Allison, and Christopher; and two great-grandchildren, Cole and Peter Jacob, with one more on-the-way.
At Noon, Friday, February 3 a graveside funeral service and interment will be held at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River.
