Obituary of Elizabeth A. Vaughan

Elizabeth (Betty) A Vaughan 78, of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, after a brief illness.

Betty was born in Orange and resided there until moving to Point Pleasant in the early 1960's. Betty was employed by and retired from the Point Pleasant Beach Borough Tax Office. After her retirement she enjoyed many summer vacations in Maine.

Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bay Head and was a regular parishioner at the Saturday afternoon Mass. She loved spending time with friends and families and often treated them to delicious new recipes. She was an avid reader and was often found sitting on her porch with a book in hand.

Betty also enjoyed crafting and her many projects were given as gifts to be cherished by loved ones. During the holidays she would make chocolates to be enjoyed and also baked doggie biscuits for her "furry" friends. Her love of animals was boundless.

Betty is survived by her cousins, Gail Varela and Arlene Winchurch  and their families; her dear friends, Peter and Kimberly Muscarella; and her devoted beloved dog, Lulu.

Betty will be dearly missed by her many neighbors and friends.

At 10 a.m., Friday, February 24 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 751 Main Avenue (Route 35), Bay Head.  Family and friends are invited to attend.
