Obituary of Barbara Mary Picurro

Barbara Mary Picurro (nee Boudo), 87, formerly of Hoboken, Palisades Park, and Toms River, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

Born in Hoboken to the late Andrew and Grace (nee Durning) Boudo she lived there for most of her life and several years lived in Palisades Park and Toms River before returning to Hoboken.

Barbara loved spending time with her family and her many friends. In her later years living in Hoboken, she also enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City and volunteering for the Rosary Society of Saint Francis in Hoboken. Barbara often visited with her daughter, Gale in Point Pleasant and enjoyed walks on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights, lunches at the Olive Garden, and various local diners. In the last months of her life, she lived with her daughter Dale in Virginia Beach and while there made many more friends and had many fun adventures such as visiting the town center's Christmas extravaganza, and local eateries and taking in the sights and sounds of Virginia Beach. Dale and her family fulfilled a wish of Barbara's when they all traveled to Orlando, Florida to visit Disney World which she had fond memories of all her life.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dominick; son, Joseph; sisters, Adeline, Gloria, and Charlotte; brothers-in-law; and son-in-law, Anthony Trancucci.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Dale Trancucci of Virginia Beach, VA, and Gale Wollerman and Lon Graft of Point Pleasant.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anthony Trancucci and his wife, Rebecca, and Christopher Wollerman and Adeline Klepper; Janine and Stefano L. and Chris T.; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Lily, Scarlett, and Chris V., and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday, March 16 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.  At 11 a.m., Friday, March 17 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant.
