







Obituary of Claire F. Wilson
Claire F. Woehrle Wilson, 96, of Whiting, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Queens, NY to the late Francis and Isabel Woehrle, she grew-up in Brooklyn and lived in Avenel, Colonia, and in Carteret for over fifty years before moving to Whiting ten years ago.
Claire was a homemaker and was truly devoted to her family. She loved the beach and Oriental art.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Lloyd Wilson; daughter, Lorraine DeCosimo; sister, Anna McKenna; and brothers, Charles and John Woehrle.
Claire is survived by her daughter, Joanne Thurston and her husband, Bruce. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Woehrle; son-in-law, Ralph DeCosimo; grandchildren, Scott Kutcher, Cheryl Fencik and her husband, Robert, Todd Thurston and his wife, Ashley, Christina Thurston, and Jacqueline DiMonaco and her husband, David; seven great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Haley Kutcher, Joseph Iannuzzi, Samantha, David, Alexandra, and Daniel Thurston; her nieces, Kathryn Hileman and her husband, Len and Michelle Modrick and her husband, Thomas; and many other family members.
At 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 23 a committal service and inurnment will take place at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia. (Those attending please meet at the cemetery office by 11:20 a.m., Thursday.)
