


Obituary of Andrea Marie Crate
Andrea Marie Crate, 71, of Point Pleasant, passed away at home with her family by her side on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
The daughter of Robert and Patricia Winegar, Andrea was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to Point Pleasant as a young girl. She went through the Point Pleasant Borough School System and earned her nursing degree from Ocean County College. Andrea went on to work for and retire from Brick Hospital/Ocean Medical Center.
As a long-time member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Andrea served as a Sunday School teacher, member of the bell choir, Circle of Judith-Rachel member, and Elder. She was also a very talented seamstress and needleworker and created many articles of art and clothing, including wedding dresses, Christening gowns, quilts, afghans, blankets, sweaters, and costumes.
Most of all, Andrea loved her family beyond words. She was a devoted wife to Randy for forty-five wonderful years; a supportive and encouraging mother of three; and Nana to six.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Patricia; and granddaughter, Katie Bamburak.
Andrea’s legacy continues through her husband, G. Randall; her children, Heather (Kevin) Bamburak, William (Lisa) Crate, and Rebecca (Bryan) Price; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Kenneth, and Thomas Bamburak; and William and Colleen Crate; sister, Patricia (Graham) Pearce and by her extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., Friday, June 9 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Saturday, June 10 a service will be held at the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 701 Forman Avenue (at Bay Avenue), Point Pleasant Beach, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
