Jan and Susan: I want to express my deepest sympathies at the loss of your dad. I remember meeting him with you both when I was working at the Hoppock school. God kept him with you for a long time and created many lasting memories which will never fade. Dante's Tennyson expresses it this way "A sorrow's crown of sorrows is remembering happier days" God bless you both ans sustain you at this difficult time. John, November 11, 2008.

My deepest sympathy is with Susan, Jan, Bob and their families at this time. I have not seen Earl in many, many years but I remember him well as a fine young man in his late teens when I was a lad of seven or so. My parents and I lived within walking distance from Southard Methodist Church where his dad was the minister in the early thirties. The Reverend, Mina, Bob and Earl were frequent and welcome guests for home-made chicken and dumplings after Sunday morning church service. We had a poultry farm then. :-)
I wonder if Mina Latham remembers the "Aunt Jemima" stuffed doll that I made for her when she was two or three years old?... (or was it you,Susan)?
