Heather was a graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School, and was a freshman at Albright College in Reading. Heather was a unique and special person, who brightened up the lives of everyone she encountered. She loved rainbows and penguins, Monty Python and organic foods, and reading everything from philosophy to science fiction. Heather was an avid Ultimate Frisbee player both at home and college. Heather was very involved in many aspects of her schools and community. Her many friends in the Boro High School fondly remember her from her participation in the Band and Show Choir as well as many performing arts productions. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, the Art Club, and many other activities. She was a Girl Scout for 12 years, a deckhand on the Tall Ship A.J. Meerwald, and, along with her Youth Group from St. Mary's By-the-Sea, went to Mississippi twice to assist Hurricane Katrina victims. Although she had only been at Albright for three months, she was well known and had many friends. She played First French Horn in the Symphonic Band, and trumpet in the Jazz Band. She sang in the Albright Chorus and Chamber Choir. Heather is survived by her father, Craig Michael Kierce, of Toms River, her mother and stepfather, Sheila and Alan Soyster, and her brother Craig Kierce, of Brick, her grandmothers, Pauline Mickle of Point Pleasant Beach and Gertrude Kierce of Wilmington, North Carolina.
