Obituary of Frank M. Takas

FRANK M. TAKAS, 49, of POINT PLEASANT, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Born in Philadelphia, he grew up in Neptune and also had lived in Brick and Wall Twp., moving to Point Pleasant thirteen years ago. A mechanic, Frank was the owner and operator of Frank's Complete Auto Repair, West Belmar. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was an avid sports enthusiast, golfer, and motorcycle aficionado. He was predeceased by his mother, Ann L. Schweitzer Takas and by his step-mother, Sheila Takas. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Theresa Fuentes Takas; five children, Ashley DeKany, Courtney Takas, Madyson Takas, Michael Takas, and Nicole Takas-Carpenter; his brother, Joseph Takas and his wife Amiie; his father, Frank E. Takas; two sisters, Debra Takas Clifford and her husband Walter "John" and Lorraine "Lori" Takas Bohrer and her husband, John; a special nephew, Jayce Griggs; and several additional nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 12 Noon until a 1:30 p.m. service, Saturday, February 7, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road (732.899.3300) As an expression of sympathy, contributions to the Takas children are suggested and would be appreciated.
