Obituary of Norma L. Elms

NORMA LUCILLE CAMPBELL FENNELLY ELMS, of LAKEWOOD, passed away peacefully while the sun was shining on her 88th birthday, Saturday, February 21, at the Harrogate Care Center surrounded by many who loved and cared for her. Born in Chile, to the late Homer and Edith Walker Campbell, she lived in Point Pleasant and Beachwood, residing in Lakewood since 2003. She was predeceased by her husbands, Richard Fennelly and Leslie Elms; her son in law, Richard Blake; and by her sister, Ruth Albisser. Surviving to cherish her memory are three daughters, Patricia Cooke and her husband Peter and Mary Lou Blake, all of Point Pleasant, and Susan Leone and her husband Ken of Beachwood; her son, Richard Fennelly of FL; her grandchildren, Peter Cooke, Shaun Cooke, Lauren Hartzfeld and her husband Ken, Michael Leone, Brian Blake and his wife Candy, and Susan Byington and her husband Michael; and her great-grandchildren, Brian, Abigail, Megan, Shea, Casey, Matt, and Ben. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 8 p.m., a service to commemorate her life will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to Saint Gregory's Pantry, 804 Bay Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742, are suggested.
