Obituary of Virginia M. Handwerk

VIRGINIA MOBERG HANDWERK, 83, of POINT PLEASANT, passed away, Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Claremont Care Center. Born in Asbury Park, to the late John and Clara Collier Moberg, she had lived in Toms River and Spring Lake, residing in Point Pleasant since 1950. Mrs. Handwerk retired from the Point Pleasant Hospital, where she worked in the purchasing department for many years. She loved to travel to tropical places and also enjoyed the beach in Bay Head and trips to Atlantic City. She was predeceased by her husband, Lee Handwerk. Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons, Thomas Handwerk and his wife Karen of Point Pleasant and Jon Handwerk and his wife Tana of CT; her sister, Eleanor Roth of Beachwood; four grandchildren, Tracy and her husband Tim, Kristin, Colby and his wife Denice, and Christy; her great-granddaughter, Bailey; and several loving nieces and nephews. A private service and cremation have been arranged through the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant.
