Obituary of Thomas M. Hack

THOMAS M. HACK, 77, of POINT PLEASANT, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at home.Born in New York City, he was formerly of Staten Island and has lived in Point Pleasant for forty years.He was a graduate of Port Richmond High School, Staten Island, Monmouth College, and Brooklyn Polytechnical Institute.Tom served in the United States Navy during the Korean war and served aboard the USS Vesole, completing his military service in the Coast Guard reserve.He worked as an electrical engineer and retired from Bell Labs, Murray Hill, and from Camp Evans, Wall Twp. He also worked for ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia.He was an active in the community and was a former member of Rotary International. Husband of the late Doris Boerum Hack, surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cheryl Hack of Point Pleasant; two grandchildren, Dylan & Kylah O'Connor; and other family members.At 11 a.m., Saturday, March 28, a memorial service will be held at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.As an expression of sympathy, donations made to either Boys Town at www.boystown.org or Covenant House at www.covenanthouse.org. , are suggested.
