Obituary of John A. Vermette
JOHN A. VERMETTE, 76, of BRICK, passed away, Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the Meridian at Wall Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Linden, to the late Robert and Helene Lucas Vermette, he was a long time Brick resident.
A retiree of Western Electric, Kearny, John worked there for over thirty years. He was a United States Army, Korean War veteran and member of the V.F.W.
He was predeceased by his wife Sophie in 1998.
Surviving are his "adoptive" daughter, Arlene Sharp and her husband James of Point Pleasant and his brother, Robert Vermette of Texas.
Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m., Wednesday at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 3:30 p.m. a service will be held.
Entombment at Saint Mary of the Lakes Cemetery will be held privately.
As an expression of sympathy, donations made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org are suggested.
