Obituary of Brian Harry Watt

Brian H. Watt, 38, of Brick, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 6, 2009. Born in Point Pleasant, Brian was a life long area resident and graduate of Brick High School, Class of 1990. He worked as a purchasing manager for the Hinckley Boat Company. He was an active member of the Laurelton Fire Company No 1, Station No. 23, where he played Santa Claus for over twenty years. He also would portray McGruff the Crime Dog for various functions. Brian was a member of the NJ State Exempt Firemen's Association; was a former volunteer for the Point Boro First Aid Squad; and was an avid boater. Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, William & Lynne (Shoemaker) Watt of Brick; his brother, Glen Watt of West Palm Beach, FL; his uncle, Anthony Duchat; cousins, Scott Duchat and Robin Callahan; and many friends. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, August 10 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 7:30 p.m. a service will be held. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions made in his memory to the Laurelton Fire Company No. 1, PO Box 312, Brick, NJ 08723 are suggested.
