It's hard to find a starting point for expressing loss and sorrow over someone with such a huge part in one's life. I was lucky enough to have Grandma Lois be a part of my life since before I could even remember, so in turn I was graced by her heart and spirit for as long as I can recall. Being close friends with the Criscuolo family since the age of 1, Grandma Lois and Grandpa John's house was a place where they graciously gave the gifts of trust, love, and peace, while expecting nothing in return. Always the center of attention and source of laughter, her smile and constant vibrancy were one of the greatest parts of family dinners or visits with the Criscuolos. Even in Grandma Lois' last days with us her spirit was indomitable by sickness and she remained a comforting voice to hear and a genuine soul to confide in. The goodness of her heart truly lives in everyone fortunate enough to have known and inevitably loved Grandma Lois. As her grandson John said, to honor Lois is to try our hardest to share with others what she shared with us; love, laughter, and care for others. I loved and miss Grandma Lois now, but know I am blessed to have her memory with me for a long time ahead.

Grandma Lois, as she was known to me, was truly an exceptional human being. I didn't call her grandma because of blood, but because she truly represented only the best grandmotherly traits. She had a way of brightening everyone's day, even if it didn't need to be, through her cheerful and bubbly personality. I will miss her, and offer my condolences to the family.

Always enjoyed working at her house. Whether it be painting decks, windows or cleaning under the crawl space she always greeted with drinks and a warm smile. Each time she also gave me "Army advice" and made sure to call me the "lieutenant". I'll miss her but am happy I had the opportunity to meet her. God bless.
