Obituary of Charles "Cholly" Ginther
Charles "Cholly" J. Ginther of Brick, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at home at the age of 93.
A native of Trenton, born to the late George and Helen Matthews Ginther, he resided in Lawrenceville, Point Pleasant, spent a decade in Florida and returned to the Brick area 13 years ago.
Before enjoying his retirement, Cholly spent his career as a builder and was president of Crestwood Construction, Inc., Hamilton, and was a partner in John J. Klein & Sons.
He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 1941; and had served on the board of directors of Yardville National Bank, Hamilton.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing & boating, spending endless time on the water.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Edith Dey Ginther; brother, John Klein; and sister, Claire Condrat.
Surviving Cholly are his three loving sons, Gary and his wife Patricia of Hamilton, Charles Jay of Point Pleasant, and Timothy of Brick. He also leaves behind two devoted granddaughters, Christina Olszewski and her husband David and Lisa Ginther; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Andrew and was adored by all.
Services and interment will be held privately at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle, NJ.
