Obituary of Joanne Pawlowicz

Joanne Pawlowicz, 70, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Sunday, February 12, 2017. Born and raised in Jersey City, to the late John and Anne Burzynski, she moved to Point Pleasant Beach forty years ago to raise her family. An avid reader, she enjoyed mystery novels and fact finding. She loved discovering and cooking new recipes. Her most cherished moments were family gatherings and experiencing the magic of Disney. She had a never-ending compassion and a willingness to forgive. Surviving are her beloved children, Michael Pawlowicz, Michele Scraggs and her husband Richard, and Vanessa Shaughnessy, all of Point Pleasant. Also surviving are her loving siblings, Jackie Burzynski and Mary Muise; Her angels on earth her grandchildren, Amy and Andrew Scraggs; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Memorial visitation will be from 4 – 6 p.m., Thursday, February 16 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 6 p.m. a service will be held.
