Obituary of Gerald "Jim" V. Morrison

Gerald "Jim" V. Morrison, 71, of Brick, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Jim was born in North Carolina, raised in Point Pleasant, and has lived in Brick for forty-eight years. He was a United States Army, Vietnam era veteran and worked for R.H. LeChard and Sons Marine Construction, Point Pleasant, for forty-three years as a welder and crane operator. He retired in 2011. He was a fan of local dirt track stock car racing; the NY Yankees; and the NY Giants. Jim was a loving husband to Grace for fifty-one years, a loving father to his children, and a joy to his grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife, Grace; son, Jay and wife Cara; daughter, Michele; and grandchildren, Max, Abby, and Katie Morrison, all of Brick. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, March 17 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 7:30 p.m. a service will be held. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle, will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
