Obituary of Constance Y. McKeon

Constance Y. McKeon (nee Brown), 85, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Sunday, March 26, 2017. Surviving are her husband of nearly fifty-six years, Richard O. McKeon and son, Owen McKeon of Atlanta, GA. Born in Bangor, ME, she lived in Maplewood before moving to Point Pleasant in 1970. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Point Pleasant. Her natural father died from a farming accident while she was young. She had many fond memories of her step father, who also loved farming and Italian cooking. She would often tell stories of caring for the large garden, the chickens, the big pig, and the goats. She would help her step dad make Italian delicacies from scratch, cheeses, and stomp grapes to make wine. Prior to marriage she worked for Raytheon in lab testing and the Bell System as an operator. In both employments, she quickly earned increased responsibility and promotion. However, she is most remembered for her sweet and forgiving spirit, as a faithful wife, and as a devoted and loving mother, by which we have been greatly blessed. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Friday, March 31 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 11:30 a.m. a service will be held. Interment will follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. For online condolences to the family please visit www.pableevertzfuneralhome.com
