To all my cousins and Joanie’s grandchildren. May the Lord grant you Peace now and eventually joy in remembering the good times you shared with your Mom and Gooma. Joanie was a very special cousin to me and my sisters. When my Daddy passed at an early age cousin Joanie took me under her wings and became a big sister to me. She took me to the circus in New York and we made many trips to the ice cream parlor on Newark Avenue where I got to meet her friends Mary, Ronnie, and Betty and we laughed and had a lot of fun. Joanie and I were close cousins and friends to this day, and I miss our little lunches. I moved down south three years ago and oh how many cups of tea we shared, and I miss seeing my cousins at the many special family gatherings. Joanie was wonderful to my Mom, her Aunt Jean. How lovely they were to each other, a mutual admiration that was lovely to witness. Joanie was and will always be a special cousin to me and my sisters.
To the world you may be just one person, to one person, you may be the world. Cousin Joanie, you meant the world to me and always will!
Hugs and prayers, Cousin Mickey (Margaret Rose)
