Obituary of Michael N. Amodio

Michael N. Amodio, 77, of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 with his wife at his side.

Born in New York, NY to the late Angelo and Emily Amodio, he lived in Point Pleasant Beach for most of his life and was a graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School.

Mike worked as a teacher for the Brick School System for thirty-five years. He was a United States Army, Vietnam veteran and received his undergrad from Newark State College and his Master’s plus thirty from Jersey City State College.

He loved bowling, league bowling, antique car shows, model trains, creating model railroad landscaping, musical theatre, and animals, especially dogs. He was a loving husband, father, good provider, and was steadfast in his beliefs.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of forty-eight years, Anne Louise (Bonham) Amodio; daughter, Aimee Amodio; and son, Michael Amodio.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m., Monday, July 24 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, followed by inurnment at Saint Anne Cemetery, Wall.
