Adam Natkie, Jr.

Obituary of Adam F. Natkie, Jr.

Adam Frank Natkie, known to all of us as "Bud,” passed away at home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, after 80 amazing years of life.

Bud was born in Elizabeth but spent his life residing on the Beaver Dam Creek in Brick, NJ. Bud was a kind and loving husband and father, with the patients of a saint.  He is survived by his wife, Sandra Natkie of forty-five years; his three sons, Rich Donley, wife Sharon, Brian Natkie, and David Natkie and his wife, Kelly; his grandchildren, Christopher and Nicole Donley; and his great-grandson, Christopher Donley; and many several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Regina Fulton, and his nephew, Michael Fulton.

Bud started his impressive career as an airplane mechanic in the 108th Air National Guard at McGuire Air Force Base and finished his career there after thirty-nine years as Chief Master Sergeant.  Following his retirement, he continued working at McGuire for L3, working on some of our country's most important aircraft until 2008 when he officially retired to enjoy life on the creek.

Bud had many hobbies, including fishing with his family on his boat "Glory Days," riding motorcycles and speed skiffs, and watching NASCAR.  Bud loved anything that went fast.  He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage, fixing whatever he could get his hands on and creating unique works of art for the home and garden, shooting fireworks off the dock at their famous Fourth of July parties, and daily walks with his dog, Bella.  He was always doing things to help others, and ready to teach anyone that was willing to learn.
