Obituary of Jacob Kahl, Sr.

Jacob Kahl, Sr., 65, of Brick, passed away, Sunday, January 20, 2013 at his home. Born in Newark, to the late Jacob & Anna (Schnellinger) Kahl, he was raised in Irvington and has lived in Brick for the past thirty-six years. Mr. Kahl was a United States Army, Vietnam era veteran and had worked as an auto mechanic for over twenty-two years. He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. Surviving are his beloved wife, of forty-five years, Maria Fraga Kahl; four children, Rich Kahl, Monique Welsh, Tanya Kahl, and Jake Kahl; his brother, Peter Hildner; his sister, Anna Hildner; three grandsons, Corey, Evan, and Zack Kahl; and his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Welsh. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 a service will be held, at the funeral home and will be followed by interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
