Obituary of Rudolph Dahnke

Rudolph Dahnke, 83, of Brick, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Born in Manhattan, to the late Wilhelm & Bertha Dahnke, he was raised in Cliffside Park and his lived in Brick for fifty-two years. He was at United States Marine Corps, WW II and Korea veteran and former member of the Marine Corps League, L.I., NY Mr. Dahnke worked as a plumber, for fifty years, and retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local 9, Englishtown. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kathryn "Katy" Ventura and sister, Lott Wriedt. Surviving are his beloved wife, of fifty-seven years, Frances Melillo Dahnke; daughter, Frances Dahnke-Ventura and her husband, Louis of Point Pleasant; son, William L. Dahnke of Brick; and granddaughter, Abigail Ventura. Visitation will be from 2 - 5 p.m., Friday, March 15 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.
