Obituary of Katherine E. Ogden

Katherine Elizabeth Sytko Ogden, 48, of Point Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly at home, Sunday, April 28, 2013. Born and raised in Irvington, to the late Anthony and Roberta "Bobby" Sytko, she lived in Wall before settling in Point Pleasant in 1997. Kathy was a graduate of Union Catholic High School and attended Union County Vocational Tech. She worked locally as an administrative assistant for many years until the birth of her beloved son, Chanse. She enjoyed cooking, the beach, helping others, and cherished being a mother. She was also predeceased by her mother and father in law, Ronald and Brenda Ogden. Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Kevin Ogden; her son, Chanse Ogden; two brothers, Michael Sytko, his wife, Sally and their children, Christopher and Jonathan, and Glenn Sytko, his wife, Maggie, and their children, Angela and Anthony; and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. At 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 10 a memorial service will be held at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. As an expression of sympathy, donations made in her memory to a scholarship fund being established for her son would be appreciated.
