Obituary of Eleanor N. Karpinski

Eleanor N. Madzi Karpinski, 80, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Born in Jersey City, she lived there until moving to Point Pleasant in 1963. Mrs. Karpinski worked for many years in environmental services at Point Pleasant Hospital. She also worked in Jersey City as a crossing guard. She was a former member of the Point Pleasant Hospital Bowling Team and communicant of Saint Peter Parish, Point Pleasant Beach. She was predeceased by her sister, Florence Madzi Kretz. Surviving are her beloved husband, of fifty-three years, Richard R., Sr.; three sons, Eugene Gary Karpinski and his wife Eve of Point Pleasant, David Charles Karpinski of Seaside, and Richard R. Karpinski, II and his wife Samantha of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Richard Bembridge, Tara Sanborn, David Charles Karpinski, II, and Rebecca Karpinski; and three great-grandchildren, Justyne Sanborn, Autumn Lee Sanborn, and Amanda Nicole Bembridge. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Monday, August 12 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, Point Pleasant Beach, and followed by entombment at Saint Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt.
