Obituary of Margaret Esther Brady

Margaret Esther Brady (nee Bottignole), 76, of Point Pleasant, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 10, 2014. Born in Newark to the late Antonio & Antoinette Bottignole, she lived in East Newark and has resided in Point Pleasant for the past twelve years. For over twenty-five years, Mrs. Brady worked at Saint Anthony Parish, East Newark, where she was a faithful communicant and Rosarian. Esther was also an active member of Saint Martha Church, Point Pleasant, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. She was a member of the "Wednesday Group" at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and loved to cook. Known as "Nonna" by her family, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert; son, Kevin; brothers, Americo Bottignoli and Anthony Bottignole; sisters, Jean Banchi and Diane Turi; and son-in-law, Jerry Harper. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Dluzniewski and her husband Michael, Patricia Harper and her companion Rolando Montegudo, and Bridget Brady, all of Point Pleasant. Also surviving are her brother, Marino Bottignole; two sisters, Louise Scamorza and Gloria Meola; five grandchildren, Brian Harper, Mary Pat McAllister, and Megan, Michele, and Matthew Dluzniewski; four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Brooke, Bentley, and Riley; many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and her cat, "Sauerkraut." Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 18 a Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, will be private. In lieu of flowers donations made in her memory to the Saint Martha Council, K. of C., 3800 Herbertsville Rd., Point Pleasant, NJ 08742 would be appreciated.
