Obituary of G. Thomas Rose

G. Thomas Rose, 64, of Brick, passed away suddenly, on Monday, February 3, 2014. Formerly of Nutley, Mr. Rose lived in the Point Pleasant-Brick area for most of his life. He was a long time self-employed auto body mechanic in Brick. Tom loved cars, Corvettes, Frank Sinatra, and most of all his "Girls." He was predeceased by his father, Frederick "Old Bird"; his mother, Claire; his brother, Frederick; and granddaughter, Rita. Surviving are his fiance and the love of his life, Veronica Pristas; his son, Thomas C. Rose and his wife Sally of FL; and three daughters, Gina M. Rose-Buchel and her husband Rich of Freehold, Kathleen M. Rose and Sarah Claire Rose, both of Point Pleasant. Also surviving are his three grandchildren, Justin, Alexandra, and Christopher; one sister, Dianne Senkeleski; and two brothers, Stephen & Michael Calafati. Visitation will be from 2 - 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 5:30 p.m. a service will be held.
