Obituary of Charles L. Visco

Charles L. Visco, 88, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Born in West New York, to the late Harry and Georgina Visco, he was raised there and has resided in Point Pleasant for the past fifty-six years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Navy. For thirty years Mr. Visco worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone and retired as a lineman. He was a HAM Radio Operator; loved animals; computers; spending time with his family. He was a communicant and former lector of the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant. He was predeceased by his sister, Elsie Kalagian. Surviving are his beloved wife, of nearly sixty-seven years, Ann (nee Oriente); his daughter, Patricia Gerardo of Point Pleasant; and his son, Charles L. Visco, Jr. and his wife Borodel of FL. Also surviving are his sister, Anna Birkner of Point Pleasant; his brother, Harry Visco of VA; and five grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Michelle, Darryl, and Brian. At 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 26 a Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, followed by inurnment at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations made in his memory to the Jersey Shore Animal Center, 185 Brick Blvd., Brick, NJ 08723, would be appreciated.
