Obituary of Janet Catherine Davis

Janet Catherine Roth Davis, 81, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Born in Jersey City, to the late Henry A. & Agnes (Diller) Roth, she lived in Maple Hill, NY, and has resided in Point Pleasant for fifty-nine years. Mrs. Davis a 1951 graduate of William L. Dickinson High School, Jersey City. She worked for AVON and retired as manager of the Southern Monmouth district. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Point Pleasant Borough Fire Company, No. 2. Surviving are her beloved husband, of fifty-nine years, Donald I. Davis, Jr.; three daughters, Kathleen Werner and her husband David of Lacey, Laura O'Connor of Lacey; and Donna Cauley and her husband Robert of Manchester, VT. Also surviving are her brother, Henry Roth; two sisters, Agnes Burke and Joan Conner; eight grandchildren, Kevin O'Connor, Melissa Edgecomb, Katherine Bloemer, Brian and James Werner, Robert and Lauren Cauley, and Ashley Werner; and two great-grandchildren, Tristyn O'Connor and Bradley Edgecomb. A memorial visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Thursday, March 27 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 7 p.m. a service will be held. At 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 28 a committal service and inurnment will take place at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
