Obituary of Virginia M. LeChard

Virginia M. Roe LeChard, 86, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, May 17, 2014. Born in Point Pleasant, to the late Harry and Florence Roe, she was a lifelong resident and 1945 graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School. Mrs. LeChard worked as a secretary for Bay Head Savings and Loan and as office manager of R.H. LeChard and Sons, Point Pleasant. She was a devoted, active, and lifelong member of Harvey Memorial United Methodist Church, Point Pleasant. She was predeceased by three husbands, William H. LeChard, Henry Jaehnel, and John LeChard; and her brother, Leonard Roe. Surviving are her children, William LeChard and his wife Elizabeth of Point Pleasant, Lynn LeChard Eick and her husband Wilson of Ocean Ridge, FL, Russell Douglas LeChard and his wife Cynthia of Toms River, and Gail E. Akers of Point Pleasant. Also surviving are her sister, Claire Clifton; aunt, Jean Hofacker; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Akers, Evan LeChard, Alison Morris and her husband Bill, Amanda Benedict and her husband Steve, William LeChard, Jr. and his wife Beatriz, Matthew Dasti and his wife Nitai, Jerry Dasti, Keith Leonhard and his wife April, and Denise Leonhard and her husband Jeff; and great-grandchildren, Brianna, Deidre, Liam, Ivy, Paisley, Leela, and Anna. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Monday, May 19 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 20 a service will be held at Harvey Memorial United Methodist Church, 1120 Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
