Obituary of Russell E. Deane

Russell Deane, 72, of Point Pleasant passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He was surrounded by the love of his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. He is very loved by his family and will be forever missed. Russell was born on April 15 in Beacon, NY to the late Jack and Evelyn Deane. He grew up in Salem, NH, where he shared many happy years with his best friend, Jimmy Lawlor. He married Joyce Vanden Heede on December 30, 1961. They had three daughters, whom they raised in Fair Lawn. Russell worked as a computer operator for many years. He and his family moved to Point Pleasant in 1982. He then worked for William Pearson Landscaping for twenty years and retired several years ago. He was passionate about music and composed many beautiful songs. He loved animals, birds in particular, and his Boston Terriers. He was a gentle soul who is now playing music with the angels. Surviving are his cherished wife, Joyce; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Jim Noe of Bricktown, Katie and Jody Greeley of Bricktown, and Michelle and Charlie Davison of Point Pleasant. He also leaves nine grandchildren, Angela & Michael Noe, Jacob, Joshua, & Joseph Greeley, Russell, Joyelle, & Holly Cooper, and Charles Davison, IV; three great-grandchildren, Laylah, Makayla, and James; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Richards and her husband Jim; brother-in-law, Fred Vanden Heede and his wife Suzy, niece, Annie Richards, nephew, John Richards, and their spouses, as well as his close friends. At 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 7 a Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant.
