Obituary of Virginia T. Cebello

Virginia Tierney Cebello, 85, of Brick, passed away, Sunday, June 15, 2014. Born in Montclair, to the late John A. and Louise Tierney, she was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and has lived in Brick since 1987. Mrs. Cebello retired from Community Medical Center, Toms River, where she worked in materials management. Prior to that she was employed by the Union County Board of Education. She was an active member of the Sweet Adeline's, Suburban Sound Chorus and Heart of New Jersey Chorus. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Cebello. Surviving are her daughter, Joanne Sorrell and her husband Garfield of Fayetteville, WV; three sons, Frank A. Cebello, Jr. of Alexandria, VA, Andrew J. Cebello and his wife Corinne of Clinton, and John K. Cebello and his wife Chandra of Manhattan Beach, CA. Also surviving are two sisters, Sister John Mary Tierney, S.C. and Patricia Tierney Reynolds and her husband John; and three granddaughters, Lauren Marie, Brianna Sophia, and Chiara Marie Cebello. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday, June 19 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9:30 a.m., Friday, June 20 a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant, followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
