Mark Cardinale of Point Pleasant Beach passed away on the evening of Sunday June 22nd at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer one month ago, fought bravely, and died with loved ones by his side. Mark was born in Manhattan and raised in Pine Brook, New Jersey with two older brothers. He graduated from Booton High School in 1968. Serving in the National Guard, he then moved to Point Pleasant Beach where he got his first job on a clam boat. Working on his first studio album, of which included original folk music, he sang and played guitar, piano, and harmonica. He was preceded by his mother Virginia, father Joseph, eldest brother Dennis and niece Bettina; leaving behind his only son Derek, brother Brian, girlfriend Laurie, nephew Patrick and many other loved ones. Cremation was held privately. Please join us Monday June 30th at 6:30 pm at Jenkinson's North Beach near the jetty to celebrate Mark's life.
