Obituary of Jean Barnes

Jean Ponisi Barnes, 86, of Whiting, passed away, Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Born in Newark to the late James and Frieda Ponisi, she was raised there and was a long time Point Pleasant resident, moving to Whiting fifteen years ago. She retired from P.S.E. & G. where she worked as a comptometer operator. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Barnes in 1994. Surviving are her sister, Doris Watt; and four nieces, Bobette Kandle, Deborah Walter, Jean Mosca, and Caryl Milo, and their families. Cremation was held privately.
