Obituary of Ninfa Carotenuto

Ninfia LoPresto Carotenuto, 90, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Friday, July 11, 2014. Born in Newark, to the late John and Flora LoPresto, she lived in Kearny and has resided in Point Pleasant for the past twelve years. She was predeceased by her husband, George Arthur Carotenuto and by her brother, Thomas LoPresto. Surviving are her son, George Thomas Carotenuto and his wife Isabel of East Hanover; two daughters, Karen Carotenuto Curcio of Point Pleasant and Mary Regina Carotenuto Herman and her husband Alan of Branchburg. She is also survived by her sister, Florence Trento; and four grandchildren, Jarred, Kara, Alyson, and George. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m., Thursday, July 17 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9:30 a.m., Friday, a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
