Obituary of William J. Nay, Jr.

William J. Nay, Jr., 81, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Monday, October 27, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, he had lived in Sea Girt for many years and moved to Point Pleasant eight years ago. Mr. Nay was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Army National Guard and the State of New Jersey, Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, after 42 years. He had been a former leader for the Boy Scouts of America. Surviving are his beloved wife, of thirty-two years, Edna M. Nay; four children; four step-children; one brother; one sister; several grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant. At 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 31 a Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Peter R.C. Church, Forman & Saint Louis Aves., Point Pleasant Beach. Those attending the Liturgy may meet directly at the church.
