Obituary of Josephine Gloria Lauer

Joan Gloria DeRose Lauer, 70, of Brick, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Born in Montclair, to the late Joseph and Laura DeRose, She had lived in Point Pleasant, Manchester, and Florida prior to moving to Brick. Joan was a homemaker and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Point Pleasant Boro Fire Company No. 2. She was predeceased by her son, Steven Lauer. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, of nearly forty-nine years, George Lauer, Sr.; one son, George Lauer, Jr. and his wife Diane and one daughter Joanne Sadowski and her husband Richard, all of Manchester; one brother, Raymond DeRose; and four grandchildren, Melloney and Richard Sadowski and Lucas and Austin Lauer. Friends may visit from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday at the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home, 901 Beaver Dam Road, Point Pleasant. A service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
