Obituary of Frederic W. Marion

Frederic W. Marion, 61, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Monday, February 15, 2010. Born in Buffalo, NY to the late Frederic A. and Elizabeth (Dowdy) Marion, he grew up in Downingtown, PA where he graduated from Downingtown High School. Later Fred lived in Santa Barbara, CA and in Beaverton, OR where he dedicated over twenty-five years to the care of exotic animals, specializing in elephants. He has lived in Point Pleasant for the past seven years and had worked at Lowe's , Brick. Fred will be truly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. Surviving are three brothers, William Marion and his wife Mary Jo of Chester Springs, PA, Wayne Marion of Round Rock, TX and Robert Marion and his wife Jane of Lavallette; his sister, Elizabeth A. Marion of Point Pleasant; his aunt, Tinker Walker; two nephews, Trevor and Devon Burns; and three nieces, Erin, Christina, and Lauren Marion. Friends may gather from 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 12 Noon his memorial service will be held.
