John Ralph Estelle, Sr., 75, of Brick, passed away quietly at home on Thursday, February 18, 2010. Born in Point Pleasant, he lived there until moving to Brick seven years ago. Before retiring, John was a union brick layer, out of Neptune, for fifty years. He worked on many schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings. John's favorite pastime was being with his children and grandchildren. He also loved all things to do with the water, fishing, boating, and decoy collecting. John loved taking trips to Virginia with Mary, his fiance. In his former years, he was an avid square dancer, loved skiing, and camping. He was a former member of the Barnegat Bay Power Squadron and the Point Pleasant Boro Fire Company. John will be truly missed by his family and friends. We will especially miss his wit. He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph & Millicent Estelle and by his sister, Pamela Simpson. Surviving are his fiance, Mary Erdman of Brick; two sons, John Estelle and his wife Edith of Onancock, VA and James Estelle and his wife Josephine of Brick; three daughters, Sharon Myatt and her husband Wayne of Point Pleasant, Brenda Hutton and her husband William of Brick, and Marcy Armstrong of Taylors, SC; his former wife, and mother of his five children, Marcia Estelle of Point Pleasant; eight grandchildren, David, Julie, Bethany, Ryan, Kiely, Sabrina, Anna, and Wesley; and two sisters, Beverly Schneider of Sebring, FL and Tylee Hamm and her husband Fred of Snohomish, WA.
