Obituary of Marguerite P. Stenson

Marguerite McCafferty Stenson, 93, of Bay Head, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at her home. Born in New York, NY to the late Joseph McCafferty and Margaret Barrett McCafferty, she had lived there and was formerly of Fair Lawn, Syracuse, NY, and Paterson, moving to Bay Head in 1980. Mrs. Stenson was a retired teacher from the Paterson School District. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head, where she was also a member of the Rosary/Altar Society. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas, and by her son Thomas. Surviving are her son John Stenson and his wife Carol of Ocala, FL; two daughters, Marguerite Stenson Wynne and her husband Edward and Meaghan Stenson, all of Bay Head; two sisters, Imogene Harty of Hicksville, NY and Frances Harty of Mineola, NY; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Muldoon, Noreen Wheeler, John Edward Halpin, Laura Stenson Wynne, Bryan P. Stenson, Dennis, Kevin, and William Wynne; and her great-grandchildren, Kristi, Molly, Elly, Alex, Charlie, Tommy, Jack, Leah, and Ariana. Friends may visit from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., Friday, March 5 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Saturday, March 6, a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, followed by interment at Saint Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
