Obituary of Samuel E. Stafford

Samuel E. Stafford, 65, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Born in Orange to the late Samuel and Mary (Cerar) Stafford, he was formerly of Queens, NY, and has lived in Point Pleasant since 1983. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged as a sergeant and awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Sam had worked in the telecommunications industry for HBO and MCI. He was also an accomplished musician. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ellen Farrell Stafford and by his son, Brian E. Stafford. Surviving are his son, Christopher J. Stafford of Point Pleasant; his fiance, Patricia Ardizzone of Point Pleasant Beach; and other family members and friends. Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 27, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 11:30 a.m. a service will be held.
