Obituary of Sanford Milton Prall

Sanford M. Prall, 73, of Point Pleasant passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Born in Newark, he grew up in Scotch Plains, graduated from Montclair State College with a teaching degree in Industrial Arts Education. He then moved to Point Pleasant, starting his teaching career of 38 years. One year at Brick Township High School and the remaining 37 years at Point Pleasant Boro High School, as one of the original staff members, retiring in 1999. Besides his passion for teaching, "Sanfrod," as students would fondly call him, was an avid photographer, sportsman, and history buff. He loved to travel where ever his Harley would take him (Sturgis was the ultimate). "Ocracoke Island here I come," eternal fishing. He is predeceased by his parents, Bennett and Fay Prall. Surviving are his children, William and fiance Jennifer of Land o Lakes, Fla., Phyllis Kirinovic and husband Tom of Point Pleasant, and Andrew of Browns Mills; his sister, Bobbie D'Amato and husband Bob of Lavallette; 7 grand children; 3 great grand children; and long time companion Christine Cavallini of Toms River. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 8:30 p.m. a memorial service will be held.
