Obituary of Joseph K. Schevitz

Joseph K. Schevitz, 83, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. He was born in Delaware and had lived in Toms River before moving to Point Pleasant in 1993. Joseph had been employed by the State of New Jersey, Division of Motor Vehicles as an Inspector and Licensing Agent. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and had served in World War II and Korea retiring in 1970 after 32 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl Schevitz. Surviving is his daughter, Carla Heim and her husband, Glenn of Brick; his brother Jeff Schevitz of Germany and his granddaughter, Mia Pearl Heim. Friends may visit from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 3 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. Internment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
